All across the world teachers are needed. I am eager and excited to start teaching in my own classroom. In my own schooling experience I attended to two different types of schools. I was taught in a public school and in a Department of Defense Dependant School (DoDDS). I have been to five schools across America and overseas between Preschool and High School. My experience in both school settings was different, yet both types benefited my education.
My goal as a teacher is to teach in a Department of Defense Dependent school. For those who are unfamiliar with what DoDDS is, it is a school provided for children of military families. I am most famailiar with DoDDS. As a child of a military household, I had the opportunity to learn with students of common interests and military backgrounds. I want to teach in DoDDS because I can relate well with military families and, for example, help students who struggle with parents deployed overseas. I know teaching in DoDDS may take some time to get into, which is why I am open to teaching in public schools, as well. I do not know where my life will lead me after I finish college, but I would be willing to teach in any area of Tennessee.
Where do you see yourself teaching when you complete your education at Middle Tennessee State University? There are several types of schools to consider: Public School, Charter School, Magnet School, Virtual School, Religious Private School, Secular Private School, Alternative Schools, Home Schools, or another school I did not mention?
